What is a Children at Risk DTS?
Do you have a heart for the world's most vulnerable? This DTS may be for you!
ComPassion DTS (Discipleship Training School) is a five month program that leads students on a journey of connecting with God's heart of compassion to be empowered as ministers of compassion to the world's most vulnerable. Over the course of a 13-week Lecture Phase, students will build their faith and worldview starting with an upwards focus on who God says He is, then an inwards focus allowing Him to bring freedom, healing and restoration of identity, and finally an outwards focus as they look past themselves to those God is sending them to. Throughout Lecture Phase, students will also learn about the many issues affecting children and women around the world and the measures that can be taken to prevent and fight social injustices and bring the love of God to those who are suffering. Afterwards, they will embark on a nine week outreach where they will have the opportunity to encounter these issues first hand and engage in hands on learning and service!

Outreach
For nine life changing weeks, our DTS outreach team will have the opportunity to serve the practical and spiritual needs of "at-risk children" and women through a rich variety of ministry partnerships. Check out some pictures from our last outreach!

I was hesitant to do a DTS, but I had so much fun! I was amazed by what God showed me during Lecture Phase. Outreach was also a lot of fun! We did so much to help the communities we visited, in partnership with ministries already operating in Cambodia & Thailand. DTS was the best decision I've ever made. If God is urging you to do a DTS, DO IT! He has good things coming your way.

Seeing where I was before DTS and where I am now , I can say that it was life-changing in every way. I went through a ton of healing, transformation, and restoration. My spirit, mind and heart are completely changed. Things I used to look down on are now things I truly enjoy, like praying and reading my bible. If God is calling you deeper, come as you are but leave transformed!

DTS is a great opportunity! I learned how important it is to have a strong foundation with God, before serving on the mission field. Our relationship with God empowers us to witness to others. During DTS I learned about God's calling on my life to be his representative. DTS grew in me a passion to work with young people and families. If you would like to discover what part you play in God's kingdom, come do a DTS!
